"Easter Dove" in English, is an Easter counterpart of the Italian Christmas desserts, Panettone and Pandoro. The dough for the Colomba is made in a similar manner to the Panettone, but it only contains candied peel and no raisins. It is shaped into a dove shape (colomba in Italian) and it is topped with pearl sugar and almonds.
It's great for breakfast as well!

INGREDIENTS: Wheat flour, butter, eggs, sugar, egg yolk, natural yeast, Halzenut paste (2%), Honey, Invert sugar, Cholocate chip (10%)(sugar, cocoa paste, cocoa butter, emulgator soya, lecithin), Orange puree (pieces of orange, glucose syrup, fructose, sucrose, acidifying agent:citric acid), emulsifiers: mono and diglycerides of fatti acids, marsala, cocoa butter, powdered skimmed milk, salt, natural flavorings: vanilla berries, glaze (albumen, sugar, ground rice, peach or apricot seeds, starch, flavorings, bitter cocao), granulated sugar. May contain some traces of nuts.
